Award-winning photographer, Kathryn Wasserman, wishes to open our eyes to the beauty around us every day, freezing a moment in time, inviting us to take note of what we, too, can experience if we stop and take a closer look at our surroundings.
With initial training in black and white photography and darkroom work, Kathryn has since studied under painters, Suzanne Stevens and Dorothy Burns, further bringing an artist's eye to her work.
Kathryn's work has appeared in such Virginia fine art centers as
Contemporary Art Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach, Suffolk Museum in
Suffolk, and Charles H Taylor Arts Center in Hampton, as well as
galleries that include, the Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach, d'Art
Center in Norfolk, and currently, year-round , at Second Glances
Photography Gallery in Richmond, VA. Her photography may be viewed at many juried art shows throughout the year. (See

Kathryn, a North Carolina native and magna cum laude graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, now makes her home in
the Hampton Roads region of Virginia
Kathryn has received many awards for her work and was chosen for the 2005
and 2006 editions of
Who's Who in America.
